Accommodation
When is check-in?
Check-in is every day from 15:00.
When is check-out?
Check-in is by 11.00 am from Monday to Saturday, and by 12.00 pm on Sundays.
Do you offer late check-out?
If you need to check out later, please contact reception.
How does in-room cleaning work?
Cleaning and clean towels can be ordered via the QR code available at check-in, or they can just let reception know directly.
When and where is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served in Elva Bistro & Bar on the first floor of the hotel (same floor as reception). Monday-Friday from 07:00 to 09:30, Saturdays from 07:00 to 10:00 and Sundays from 08:00 to 11:00.

The kitchen closes 30 minutes before.
Does the hotel have a fitness room?
No, but we have a partnership with Instinct, which is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Exercise cards can be hired at reception. There are also yoga mats and exercise bands at reception that you can borrow to take back to your hotel room if you want to work out in peace and quiet.
Are pets allowed in the room?
Pets are allowed in some of our rooms - on request for an extra charge.
Is there wifi in the room?
Yes, with us you always have free internet. There is no code for logging in.
Does the hotel offer car parking?
Yes, there is a large car park at the entrance to the hotel. Parking is free for hotel guests and restaurant visitors. You can use our electric car chargers for a fee. We also have garage space for motorbikes.
I have special needs, what do I do?
We go to great lengths to accommodate guests with special needs, whatever they may be. Contact reception directly and we'll help you.
Are there electric kettles and hairdryers in the rooms?
All rooms have a hairdryer. Rooms without a coffee machine have an electric kettle.

Is breakfast included in the prices?
Yes, breakfast is included in the room rates - unless otherwise specified.
Do you offer wake-up calls?
Unfortunately, no. Those days are over. But maybe a mobile phone will do the job?
Does the hotel room have a minibar?
No, the hotel does not have a minibar. However, most rooms have a mini fridge. At reception you'll find a good selection of cold drinks. We also have basic toiletries, as well as snacks such as nuts, crisps and chocolate.
About the hotel
Where is Maritim Fjordhotell and how do I get there?
Maritim Fjordhotell is idyllically located by the riverside in the centre of Flekkefjord. The hotel is easily accessible by car via the E39 motorway and is well signposted towards the town. The nearest airport is Stavanger Airport Sola, approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes away by car. There are good bus connections to the area.
What is the cost of an extra bed in the room?
Yes, you can request capacity and there will be an additional charge.
Does the hotel offer free parking?
Yes, we offer free parking for all our guests - both for accommodation and dining. You can use our electric car chargers for a fee. We also have garage space for motorbikes.
Does the hotel have a restaurant and what kind of food is served?
Yes, our restaurant Elva Bistro is located on the ground floor overlooking the water. Here we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner - with a menu that varies seasonally and focuses on good ingredients, local flavours and genuine enjoyment of food.
What room types do you offer?
We have several types of rooms: Standard Single Room, Standard Double Room, Business Single Room, Business Double Room, Single Room with Balcony, Double Room with Balcony, Superior Double Room and Junior Suite - all with comfortable beds and great facilities. Many of the rooms have a view of the river and breakfast is always included in your stay. We also offer favourable packages with both breakfast and dinner included.
What can you do in Flekkefjord and the surrounding area?
Flekkefjord offers plenty to experience - all year round! Go dresin cycling on the historic Flekkefjord Railway, discover art and culture in Hollenderbyen, visit the Spira cultural centre or take a trip out to the archipelago. Nature is never far away - whether you want to go hiking, swimming, canoeing or just enjoy the view.

What types of parties can we celebrate with you?
You can celebrate most things with us - whether it's a confirmation, christening party, anniversary, name day or a good old-fashioned family gathering. We customise the setting to suit the occasion and ensure that your party is both personal and memorable.
How many people can we invite?
We have venues to suit both small and large celebrations. We have flexible function rooms for all needs - from small rooms with a calm atmosphere to large halls that can accommodate up to 100 people.
Can we influence the menu ourselves?
Absolutely. Our corporate menus are flexible and are based on seasonal ingredients. If you have any special requests, allergies or needs, just let us know - and we'll customise the menu so that all guests have a good experience.
What about embellishments and decor?
We set the tables in style and can help with decorations by arrangement. If you'd like flowers or other extras, we can arrange this at an additional cost.
Do you have technical equipment for use during the company?
Yes, we have a projector, screen, sound system and microphone available. Perfect for slide shows, speeches or music. Just let us know in advance and we'll make sure everything is ready when you arrive.
Weddings
Can we bring our own wedding cake?
Of course you can! Feel free to bring your wedding cake and other cakes. We'll chill them and make sure they're served at the agreed time - with coffee, crockery and everything ready. Remember to label the cakes clearly with your name and make sure they are decorated and ready to serve. Leftovers can be picked up the next day by appointment.
How do we get started with planning?
Just get in touch with us! We offer a no-obligation chat where we go through everything from food and music to logistics and accommodation.
Can we sample the food before the wedding?
Yes, we offer tasting sessions so that you can be completely confident in your menu choice. We'll arrange a time together, and you'll get to try the dishes you've chosen.
What if someone has allergies or special needs?
We are happy to adapt the menu for allergies, intolerances or other requests. Just let us know at least one week before the celebration and we'll take this into account. Our menus are flexible and seasonal - and all allergens are clearly labelled.
What is included in the table setting?
We set the table with white tablecloths, napkins, tea light holders - all included in the wedding package. If you want something else, you're free to bring your own equipment, but that won't change the price.
Can we get together the day before the wedding?
Yes, we have several cosy places that are perfect for an informal "get together" before the big day. Contact us for suggestions, prices and available times.
Who decorates the room?
If the venue is free the night before, you are welcome to decorate it yourself. If it's already in use, you can deliver decorations and place cards in the right order - and we'll make sure to set the table according to your wishes. We also have vases on loan if needed.
What kind of music can we have during the party?
You can play your own playlist via AUX connection, or we can arrange for you to hire live music.
What happens to gifts and decorations after the party?
We can store decorations, gifts and cakes for the following day. Everything must be packed in boxes at the end of the evening and collected by appointment. Storage is at your own risk.
Do you offer accommodation for our guests?
Yes, we offer favourable prices on accommodation for wedding guests. Perfect for those who want to party long and enjoy a quiet morning by the fjord the next day.
Christmas table
What does the Christmas buffet include?
Our Christmas buffet offers a varied selection of traditional Christmas dishes with both hot and cold options. You'll find everything from ribs, pinnekjøtt and medisterkaker to herring, smoked salmon, cheese board and tempting desserts. Of course, we cater for allergies and special needs - just let us know in advance!
Can we book an overnight Christmas party?
Yes, we offer favourable Christmas party packages that include both food and accommodation. This makes it easy and comfortable for you to enjoy the evening to the full - and wake up to a delicious breakfast overlooking the fjord.
Is it possible to reserve a seat for a larger group?
Absolutely! We welcome both small and large groups, and are happy to help with table placement, group set-up and any special requests. Early booking is recommended, as our Christmas tables are very popular.
What does the bar offer during the Christmas party?
Our bar is open all evening and has a good selection of wine, beer, drinks and non-alcoholic options. It is adjacent to the restaurant and is a natural place to continue the evening after dinner.
Can we get help with entertainment or music?
Answer. We have a sound system available for our own playlists, but at several of our Christmas parties we have live music.
