The beer revolution is coming to Flekkefjord
Five beer variants, two hours and the story of an American beer revolution are on the agenda when Brooklyn Brewery comes to Maritim Fjordhotell.
On Wednesday 8th October, Flekkefjord will be visited by one of the most famous names in American craft beer.
Then Maritim Fjordhotell invites you to a beer tasting with Brooklyn Brewery. Jeroen Bol, brand ambassador for Brooklyn Brewery in Norway, will guide participants through five different beers from the brewery.
– We want to create an evening of beer appreciation, knowledge, and great tasting experiences. Since we are hosting a beer tasting, it is extra fun to bring Brooklyn Brewery to Flekkefjord, says Helene Refvik Gjerme, head of events at Maritim Fjordhotell.
From New York to Flekkefjord
Brooklyn Brewery was among the breweries that helped start the craft beer revolution in New York. The brewery is still located right in the middle of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, and its products are inspired by the culture, people and trends that characterise the neighbourhood.

He represents Brooklyn Brewery in Norway and during his visit to Maritim Fjordhotell will present the brewery's available range on the Norwegian market.
– In Flekkefjord, we are going to taste our way through the Brooklyn Brewery variants available in Norway. That gives participants an opportunity to get to know the brewery better and what we have to offer here in the country, says Bol.
Five different variants
The tasting starts at 19:00 and lasts for about two hours. During the evening, participants will get to taste five different beers from Brooklyn Brewery.
Behind the brewery's range is the renowned master brewer Garrett Oliver, who has developed Brooklyn Brewery's beers.

For Maritim Fjordhotell, the aim is to combine culinary experiences with knowledge and a social evening.
– You don't need to be a beer expert to take part. The idea is for this to be a pleasant and educational evening for people who are curious about beer and want to taste something different, says Gjerme.
Can be combined with burger
The hotel offers two variants of the event. The beer tasting itself costs 400 kroner per person.
For 650 kroner, participants will additionally be served a wagyu cheeseburger.
– We also wanted to provide the opportunity to combine the tasting with food, so that those who want to can make a bit more of the evening, says Gjerme.
The registration deadline is 4 October, and registration is binding.
